A Little Something for you as well…

You can get a SIGNED poster from the band that TYV toured with this past summer, Rooney! And it’s signed by all members!

    Here’s the catch:

    • You have to participate in the project
    • You must get the most referrals

Here is how the referrals work. There is a form that needs to be filled out by October, 31, 2010 that includes information about yourself and what you are giving the band. Included in this form is a place for someone to fill out who they were referred to by. On October 31, I will be looking at the form and counting up how many referrals each person received and the one with the most referrals will receive the SIGNED  Rooney poster. Click here for the form!

If you have any questions, e-mail me at founder@officialteamtheyoungveins.com

Hope to see everyone participate!! =]=]=]

The Season of Giving Has Arrived!!!!

Want to help boost The Young Vein’s morale? Losing your musical equipment can be a low blow to musicians especially ones who are just growing and trying to make it. The situation was unfortunate but as the The Young Veins fan club/street team, it is our duty to make sure that the band stays in the game and doesn’t feel like losing their instruments is a sign to give up!

An unfortunate event has recently happened with a band, The Young Veins. Most bands use a trailer to keep their band equipment in and it just so happens that their trailer was stolen. Luckily, they found the trailer but on the down side, all of their equipment had been stolen. This is where you come in!

When someone’s morale is down what do you do to help them out? You write them a little something, make them something, or even saying a simple good job will help out a little bit. I’m not trying to give everyone a Psychology lesson but more of a common sense lesson. A project was proposed to me by one of the team’s very own members, Keri. She e-mailed me about starting a care package for the band to help get their spirits up and to push them still want to do the band. Now I know everyone still wants to see Jon Walker and Ryan Ross up on stage till the day they die but you can’t forget about the other members as well. Their a crucial part to the band as much as Ryan and Jon are. This care package will help show, not only, that the band has a strong support system but also that everyone is recognized in the band.

If you want to help out and make an impression on a starting band’s history, sign up to do the care package! The things you contribute don’t have to be big or you don’t have to go out and blow $100 on this. A simple card, bracelet, or something from the heart will do. If you want to contribute something larger that’s fine but I want to make the point that EVERYONE, even bring in other friends and family in on the project, will be able to contribute something. And I hope that I see everyone helping out with the project. Even bring in other friends and family in on the project!

If there are any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me at, founder@officialteamtheyoungveins.com

Just sign up here, {Click Here For Form}, and you’ll be on your way to participating in a project that could change a bands outlook.

Halloween Mix (click HERE to download)

    nickmurray:

Throughout the last couple years, I’ve been digging up bizarre Halloween-themed songs mostly written for radio play during the early-mid 60s. The halloween-obsessed nerd in me decided to take an hour to make a mix. Some of the songs are classics… some are incredibly rare songs made by one-hit-wonder factories.

Everything from doo-wop, surf, girl-groups, garage and rockabilly- it blows my mind that a few of these tracks ever saw the light of day.

    Intro…
    “Werewolf” - The Frantics
“Curse of the Hearse” - Terry Teene
    “Monster Hop” - Bert Convy
    “The Witch” - The Sonics
    “Fear” - The Ventures
“I Was a Teenage Caveman” - Randy Luck
“Grave In the Desert” - Sebastian Peabody
“I’m the Wolfman” - Round Robin
    “Dracula’s Theme” - The Ghouls
    “Zombie Walk” - Magics
    “Witches Brew” - Janie Jones
“Dracula’s Daughter” - Screaming Lord Sutch & The Savages
“Spider and the Fly” - The Monacles
“House of Frankenstein” - Big Bee Kornegay and Group
    “He’s A Vampires” - Archie King
“My Monster In Black Tights” - Screaming Lord Sutch
“That Halloween Night” - Denis and the Double Dates
    “Queen of Halloween” - Chotalls
    Outro…

I have a feeling everyone is going to like this!

So, a few days back I posted a mission I have set for the club to complete. Sadly, no one has stepped up to the plate but one person! I don’t understand why but I’ve come up with a little motivation for everyone to get involved.

You can get a SIGNED poster from the band that TYV toured with this past summer, Rooney! And it’s signed by all members!

    Here’s the catch:

    • You have to participate in the project
    • You must get the most referrals
